who I work with:

I help individuals and couples who have negative thinking patterns and unhealthy communication/conflict styles to change how you interact with yourself and others so you can be happier again.

As a highly motivated person, you want to see results in your therapy. And if you are part of a couple, you are looking for someone to help you communicate better, have healthier reactions to conflict, and understand how to co-exist through your very different personalities and styles. If you or your partner has past trauma, we know that trauma impacts how you show up in your relationships.
Perhaps you’ve tried counseling before and it wasn’t a good fit or you didn’t get the outcomes you wanted. As an ally, I welcome and embrace those within the LGBTQIA+ community. I can provide you with skills that you can practice outside of sessions and an action plan for you to reach your goals. within a safe, affirming environment.
how therapy can help you:

I’ve helped many couples and individuals just like you. I use a combination of skills-based approaches and relationship therapy to help you increase your confidence, have a better sense of yourself, and improve your relationships with others. I’m the therapist that people come to when they want results. I can help with reframing your past trauma so it doesn’t affect your current or future relationships, and I am a strong ally with the LGBTQIA+ community. My clients and couples tend to want resources and that extra sense of accountability that I can provide, through a safe and welcoming space for you to explore what change and healing looks like for you.
about me:

I'm passionate about working with adults and couples to find balance and re-establish purpose in their life by using skills-based practices. I have a special interest in helping people learn skills they can use to decrease anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, enforce boundaries, and process trauma impact. I also welcome and support people who identify within the LGBTQIA+ community.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families for over 10 years. I moved from Charlotte, North Carolina in 2016 to attend the University of Denver and don’t miss the humidity! I hold a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Children & Youth: Risks and Healthy Development. My professional experience includes roles such as a school social worker, school based therapist, child and family outpatient clinician, integrated care clinician, and private practice working with adults and couples.

I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and trained in Gottman Couples therapy, Solution Focused Brief therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

As a therapist, my main goal in working with you is for you to feel empowered and develop an increased understanding of yourself. I have found therapy to be most beneficial when it is collaborative and clients are motivated for change. I will provide a safe space for you while offering my objective perspective and expertise. Are you ready to create change?
