3 Ways Affordable Counseling In Denver Can Support Your Healing Goals

affordable counseling services in colorado

In case you missed it, my fellow intern (and friend!) Becca Tarnowski shared all about Catalyss Counseling’s new Affordable Counseling Program—read the full blog post here. To provide a quick recap, Catalyss Counseling recently launched their Affordable Counseling Program for individuals over 18 years old. This is a wonderful opportunity for folks who are interested in starting therapy at a more affordable fee—working with one of Catalyss’ masters-level interns. What stands out to me about this Affordable Counseling Program is how it makes therapy more accessible to those like you who are wanting to take the next step in their unique healing journey, but may want or need to limit your budget allocated for therapy services.

The following will explore three ways the Catalyss Counseling’s Affordable Counseling Program can support your goals for healing.

1. Therapy Made More Accessible (and Sustainable) with Affordability

When I first started going to therapy, finding a therapist who offered a sliding scale was my top priority. I had recently left a corporate job to freelance so my budget for therapy was especially limited, as my finances would fluctuate from month to month. So, what allowed me to go to my first therapist for over a year (thanks, Shari!) was her offering a lower fee option. Our work together over that year is what allowed me to find the support I needed and achieve the therapy goals I had at that time. And, a little fun fact: Part of the reason I went to therapy was to determine if I wanted to pursue graduate school for mental health counseling. Working with Shari is what solidified my decision to become a therapist myself.

2. Possible Relief from Financial Anxiety with Sliding Scale Therapy

counseling should be available to everyone and catalyss counseling provides affordable therapy

Seeing a therapist in our Affordable Counseling program can support you in a couple of ways. First, you can have support weekly (or bi-weekly) from a highly-trained Catalyss intern who is more aligned with those who may have a limited budget to spend on therapy.

And second, being able to see a therapist in the Affordable Counseling Program who offers session fees aligned with your budget can provide relief from anxiety related to the financial investment of therapy. I know from my first therapy experience, it was a relief to be getting the support I needed on a consistent basis, while also knowing I could comfortably pay for the sessions without the financial strain on my bank account.

3. Affordable Counseling offers In-Person Sessions in Englewood or Virtual Sessions

This may seem a bit obvious, but an important factor in finding the right therapist is the convenience of scheduling and finding a time slot each week that works for you. The Affordable Counseling Program not only provides high-quality care at an affordable fee, but also a wide variety of timeslots throughout the week. The therapists offering services under the Affordable Counseling Program here in Denver see clients both in person at our office in Englewood as well as virtual sessions (available statewide for Colorado residents!).

So, regardless of your preference for being in our office—or seeing a therapist online—Catalyss Counseling has options that will be convenient for you and your schedule.
