who I work with:

I help men, anxious adults, and those seeking improved relationships to become “unstuck” and get to the root of the problem, so you can focus on the things in your life that are meaningful.

If you are struggling with anxiety, panic, or even addiction that is disrupting your relationships and/or work, it’s common to turn towards alcohol, avoidance, or inaction. Perhaps your job expects you to interact with others on a regular basis, and that makes you feel nervous to the point of panic. Or maybe you want to work on having better relationships with your family, partner or peers, but you’re not sure where to start. You might feel yourself caught up in a world that expects different things from you, and challenging the status quo can be difficult.

You may feel lonely, like you’re the only one out there with this problem. And therapy can be confusing - how does it actually work, and can it really help me? The answer is “yes” - counseling can be life-changing, if you are brave enough to look inside yourself and create a different path than the one that you are on. I can help.

how therapy with me can help you:

In therapy with me, we will work to untangle your basic worldviews, where they came from, and how they are functioning in your day-to-day life. Working through these deep issues can help you gain understanding and perspective to reorient your relationship both with yourself and with others around you. Instead of viewing everything as a problem, we will work to create new ways of living, feeling, and interacting. I will help you to cultivate compassion and insight into your relationship patterns, alcohol issues, and triggers for your anxiety. Finding out how your past impacts your present day can be the key to moving forward.

about me:

I moved from the plains of Texas to the mountains of Colorado to get closer to what I love most in life: nature. In my free time, I climb, snowboard, and backpack throughout the Rockies. I also love to read philosophy and literature, and have made it an intention of mine to continue these studies in the context of my work with people. I firmly believe in the psychoanalytic approach to psychotherapy within a modern context. This means that I think healing takes place through a deep and committed engagement with narrative, history, language, and relationships.

I have worked in community mental health settings since 2021, working mostly with adults who struggle with addictions and who are incarcerated. I am currently a student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Regis University and a student of Addictions Counseling at Odyssey. Keeping my background work in the community close to my mind is important to my work as a therapist at Catalyss.
